Hornsey Wood Green NHS GP consists of 2x GP’s (doctors), 1x Practice Nurses, 1x HCA's, a Practice Manager, 1x Pharmacist, 1x Social Prescriber and 3 Administrative staffs. Together we provide a full range of general practice services and run a number of specialist clinics.
The Doctors
Dr Mahmoud Asgheddi (m)
MB BS, MRCGP
Dr Mahmoud graduated from Imeprial College London in 2011 with a degree in Medicine and a Bachelor's in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He has trained in a variety of specialities on the road to becoming a GP and this includes Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Dermatology as well as Obstetrics and gynaecology. He maintains a keen interest in dermatology.
Dr Zuhaib Keekeebhai (m)
MB BS, MRCGP
Dr Zuhaib graduated from St George's Hospital University of London. His GP training took place in Haringey. He has a strong interest in digital healthcare. He is currently a digital clinical lead for NHSE (london) and previously the chief clinical information officer for North Central London. He is a GP trainer and provides clinical leadership for integrated working across the central locality for Haringey .
Dr Nazmul Akunjee (m)
MB BS, MRCGP
Nazmul Akunjee has previously taught medical students helping them prepare them for their exams. He has published a number of articles related to examination skills in OSCEs. He completed the London Deanery's, Introduction to Teaching in Primary care course in June 2011. He is also now a GP trainer. Nazmul Akunjee has previously been the Clinical lead for the Primary Care Strategy, GP IT lead and formerly SE CHIN clinical lead. He is a former director of Federate4Health, and previously been the clinical director.
Nazmul Akunjee was a finalist for the RCGP GP enterprise First5 awards 2014 for demonstrating a positive and innovative impact on the NHS and working to improve clinical care and patient services or healthcare systems. He was awarded the PHCSG (Primary Health Care Specialist Group of the BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT) John Perry Early Career award recognising innovation and excellence in Primary Care Computing
Nazmul is author of 6 medical textbooks designed for junior doctors and GP registrars including Easy Guide to OSCEs for Final Year medical students as well as The Easy Guide to OSCEs for Specialties. He have had 3 medical books that are BMA (British Medical Association) award winning. He is also a lecturer on Communication skills for trainee GPs and GP facilitators on MRCGP exam courses to help junior GPs to pass their MRCGP exam. He also is an GP Appraiser to help GP continuously improve their quality of care and allow them to pass through the GMC revalidation process
Dr Shivani Patel (f)
MB BS, BSC, MRCGP

Dr Shivani Patel has joined the surgery in August 2019 and trained in Bart's medical school. She has experience in working in Haringey and Enfield, she specialises in paediatric (children) and women's health. She has a BSC in Global health and Primary Care. She has successfully published a number of articles below
Pharmacists
Anne Lim (f) - Clinical Pharmacist
MPharm, Practice Certificate in Independent Prescribing
Anne Lim studied at UCL School of Pharmacy (graduating with First Class Honours) and qualified as a pharmacist in 2015. She started her career working in high-street pharmacies, before moving to work for the UK's trade association for community pharmacies. She started working in primary care/GP surgeries in March 2018 and joined the surgery in August 2019. She has a keen interest in the management long-term conditions (including hypertension and diabetes).
Nurses
Mary Thomas (f)
Mary Thomas is one of our senior nurses who also runs joint maternity/baby clinics with one of the doctors in the surgery. She also performs routine childhood immunisation clinics, female smears, travel clinics and flu injections. She has an extensive background having trained in ITU in the hospital setting
